Dissertation Formatting in Microsoft Word

Hello. I need help formatting my dissertation in Microsoft Word. The document is written as one long main text, and I’m hoping to use endnotes for the eight chapters. However, to do so, I need the endnotes to include headings and subheadings that sync with page numbers in the main table of contents, and each endnote should start on a fresh page. It also needs to be easy for readers to jump into an endnote from the main text and return to their place in the main text afterward. Please share relevant experience with complex document formatting. Thanks for reading! Katie
