[Remote] Golang / HashiCorp Vault Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Apolis is seeking a hands-on Golang / HashiCorp Vault Engineer to support a credential platform and migrate existing capabilities to HashiCorp Vault. The role focuses on developing secure credential-management applications, building Vault integrations and plugins, supporting IAM-compliant credential storage, and handling operational and production support activities.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, test, and enhance applications and services for the credential platform
- Build HashiCorp Vault capabilities to replace legacy credential-management features
- Develop integrations and plugins and onboard tools into the enterprise environment
- Support secure non-human credential storage in compliance with IAM policies
- Perform development, engineering, automation, operational, and DevOps activities
- Follow architectural, product, and usability standards
- Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and Agile ceremonies
- Troubleshoot and support production applications
Skills
- 5+ years of hands-on Golang experience
- Strong object-oriented programming and scalable software design skills
- Strong **HashiCorp Vault** experience, including: + Authentication backends + Secret engines + Plugin development
- Experience with **AWS, Azure, or GCP**
- Production application support and troubleshooting experience
- Understanding of **IAM, least-privilege access, and secure credential handling**
- Experience migrating legacy secrets/credential platforms to **HashiCorp Vault**
- Financial services or other regulated enterprise experience
- Experience with incident and vulnerability management processes
